Hyundai India has launched its new small size hatch car I-20 recently into Indian Market. The external appearance would look much like an I-10. It’s been launched to position above Getz in its class; it’s slightly wider and lengthier than the fore.
The design and engineering was made in Europe, sensibly chose to prioritise the torque over power. It has been launched in parts of Europe and other countries before two years. Its been inspired by the Hyundai I-30 which was being lunched in Korea and Europe and doing great.
.The leg room space is not impressive as in the case compared with the cars like Maruti Swift, Maruti A-Star etc in its class. The front seats are adjustable in many ways and make sure that one makes a right adjustment before driving. The rear boot space is much worse than the front. Its not suitable for persons who are gigantic and tall. On the long drives the passengers in the rear may feel discomfortable as the seats are slightly upright.
The quality of the interiors like the plastics used and instrumental panel captures the immediate attention. It is very well laid with smooth lines and soft edges. The side mirrors can be adjusted electronically. Another interesting aspect is that it has got good luggage space which would be helpful if one is planning a vacation.
Hyundai i20 will come in two variants – petrol and diesel. The diesel variant of the hatchback will be powered by a 1.4-litre engine, producing a maximum power of about 90 bhp. On the other hand, the 1.2L of its petrol variant is expected to generate a power of 58 KW. Both the engines of Hyundai i20 come across as the right combination of performance and fuel economy. The car will be available in eight sizzling colours.
