The Japanese Auto Company Mitsubishi is planning to launch its new Lancer Evolution which is also known as Evo 10 in July this year. The car looks and price can be no where comparable with the present Lancer on the Indian roads. The car has gained good market in the North America since its launch.
The car’s price would be around Rs 21-24 lakhs, for different variants which includes the import duty as well. The idea of manufacturing the car in India would depend upon the sales of the car one of the company spokesmen added. The launch would be followed by the introduction of the Mitsubishi Outlander sports in India.
The car would be a good competition against Toyota Camry (which would leave the Indian markets soon), Honda Accord, Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Pussat, Nissan Teana and the Audi A4.
The Lancer Evo comes with a 2 liter engine that leads to an output of 295 bhp power which would be powerful than the 3 liter engines. Moreover it has got an impressive aluminium engine block under the hood and a four wheel drive option. The car would definitely win the Indian hearts but the roads aren’t suitable for its huge performance. Its would be the best car so far at its engine performance and its looks.
