The late Australian Actor Heath Ledger and Spanish Beauty Penélope Cruz won the Oscars for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) and Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) respectively.

Heath Ledger had a very short life, he died at a young age of just 28 on January 22nd this year because of an overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills and others. WALL-E, a crazy love story between between two robots won an Oscar for the Best Animated Feature. The animation of the 98-minute English movie was produced by Pixar Animation Studios. Man on Wire gets Oscar for Best Documentary Film

The James Marsh directed ‘Man on Wire’ has won the 81st Academy Award for the Best Documentary Film. The 90-minute documentary is about Philippe Petit’s high-wire walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York. The World Trade Center was destroyed by the Al-Qaeda during the September 11 attacks in 2001. This documentary ‘Man on Wire’ features footage from the events of Frenchman Philippe Petit’s 1974 high-wire walk along with the homework that he had done to achieve the feat.
