Heath Ledger and Penelope Cruz gets Oscars for Best Supporting Role

The late Australian Actor Heath Ledger and Spanish Beauty Penélope Cruz won the Oscars for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) and Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) respectively.

Heath Ledger had a very short life, he died at a young age of just 28 on January 22nd this year because of an overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills and others. He got the Oscar for potraying the role of Joker in The Dark Knight. Ledger is the ex-husband of actress Naomi Watts, he is survived by his wife Michelle Williams, also an actress.

The 34-year-old Penelope Cruz was awarded the Oscar for playing the role of María Elena in the bilingual movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
