The Oscar for the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 81st Academy Awards went to the beautiful Kate Winslett for her character of Hanna Schmitz in the movie ‘The Reader’. The 33-year-old Winslett made her film debut in 1992 starring in ‘Heavenly Creatures’. It was the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater in the 1997 blockbuster Titanic that gave her immense popularity as a beautiful and sexy heroine.
