Banana (Musa Accuminata) – The Wonder Health Plant

The Banana plant originated from Malaysia or India and it has spread to different tropical parts of the world.

Banana is a perennial herb belonging to family musaceae appears to be originated from Malaysia and found in many tropical countries. It has got high nutritional values and a rich source of Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Potassium and Iron.

There are several varieties of Bananas Yellow, green and even red varieties are available.

Uses of Banana:
Yellow Banana

  • Bananas are rich source of energy since it contains sugars such as Fructose, Glucose and Sucrose.
  • Bananas are rich source of Iron and are helpful in preventing Anemia.

Preparation of banana shake:

Mix 2 bananas, one egg, a glass of milk and to the mixture add 2 table spoons of honey. This banana shake if taken every morning weight gain can be observed.

Fully ripened banana if eaten along with the curd, prevents white discharge. It prevents the problem of leucorrhoea.

Boil the banana flower and mix it with the curd, it helps to prevent menstrual pain and controls the blood loss.

The banana paste is helpful in healing small burns.
