Turmeric powder is obtained from the plant Curcuma longa a tropical plant grown in Southern and South eastern tropical parts of Asia. The plant grows up to 1 meter height with a short stem and crumpled leaves.
Preparation of Turmeric Powder:
The rhizome is used to make powder. The rhizomes are uprooted and they are made free from mud and are boiled in hot water and they are dried in the sun. Afterwards they are powdered and they are free from the moisture.
