15th Lok Sabha Elections in Chhattisgarh 2009 Verdict

The relatively newly formed state of Chhattisgarh is represented by 11 Member of Parliaments in the Lok Sabha. It was a near cleansweep for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the rule of Chief Minister Raman Singh as it swallowed as many as 10 seats! The Congress had to settle with the lone seat of Korba.

  4. Korba Constituency MP – Charan Das Mahant (Indian National Congress)
  5. Bilaspur Constituency MP – Dilip Singh Judev (Bharatiya Janata Party)
  6. Rajnandgaon Constituency MP – Madhusudan Yadav (Bharatiya Janata Party)
  7. Durg Constituency MP – Saroj Pandey (Bharatiya Janata Party)
  8. Raipur Constituency MP – Ramesh Bais (Bharatiya Janata Party)
  9. Mahasamund Constituency MP – Chandulal Sahu (Chandu Bhaiya) (Bharatiya Janata Party)
  10. Bastar Constituency MP – Baliram Kashyap (Bharatiya Janata Party)
  11. Kanker Constituency MP – Sohan Potai (Bharatiya Janata Party)
