15th Lok Sabha Elections in Sikkim 2009 Verdict

The lone parliamentary seat in Sikkim went neither to the UPA nor to the NDA. It went instead to the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) that has no alliance with either of the major coalitions. The contenders for the Sikkim seat along with the SDF were the Congress, BJP,  Sikkim Sangram Parishad and the Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad. The SDF clinched the battled with almost 64% of the vote share!
