AP Congress MLA Shankar Rao Caught Slapping

Congress MLA from the Secunderabad Cantonment Constituency – Dr P. Shankar Rao was captured on video slapping a Super Market Employee. The incident happened when the MLA along with some Food and Civil Supplies officials visited the Food World Super Market in Picket on Monday. The MLA has been visiting several super markets in his constituency to check the prices of commodities.

It is learnt that the MLA got into a heated argument with the employees of the Super market after he was stopped from barging into the godown. That was when he had slapped one of the employees although the MLA continues to deny his act.

Despite the presence of Video Evidence, Shankar Rao casually said that he never slapped anyone and if proved he was ready to quit from his post and leave Politics.

This incident follows the one that happened less than a month ago which again involved an Andhra Pradesh Congress leader who was similarly caught on tape. Manda Jagannatham (Nagarkurnool Constituency M.P), it was caught on camera for slapping Mr. G. Ravinder Reddy of Grameena Vikas Bank’s Uppunuthula Branch. The incident was given prime exposure by National Media which forced the Congress High Command to do immediate damage control. Manda Jagannatham also initially denied that he had indulged in any physical assault but later on ended up with an unconditional apology to the Bank Manager.
