Hi friends,

I think this is a useful topic here and created for public awareness. Hope you people spread the message across.

Just wanted to share about this scam which I came to know recently. A few days back I had gone to Eat Street in Hyderabad where one nicely tucked boy asked me to fill up a lucky coupon which I did. The next day got a call that I won the lucky dip and three prizes were waiting for me – kitchen set, free vacation for a week for couple and some free entry in a resort.

They asked me to come to some Country Cool Building near Begumpet Railway Station. I had my doubt about all this so googled and found that this was a potential fraud. I kept on getting phone calls whether I was coming or not. I counter questioned them whether this was about converting me into some paid membership at country club which they flatly denied.

Anyways out of curiosity, I decided to go there and found that there were about 20-30 people just like me lol who were asked to come into a room. Inside that there were plenty of tables with one sales guy/girl trying to convert us into membership of Country Vacations. Right from the start, I told that I was a Journalist and also indicated that I only had bad impression about the company. Lols I even had second thoughts on drinking the water and coffee given by them! There was some timepass survey taken by the sales guy and then a briefing from the so-called manager.

Well after painfully sitting for more than an hour I said I had enough of the crap and wanted to walk away. They sent me away after giving some bowls gift and some voucher which asks us to pay 4000 Rs taxes while enjoying a free 25,000 Rs worth stay for 7 days in some hotel in Kerala, Goa or Manali. I guess I was one of the few people who came out without spending anything on their crap :)

The trap from this Country Club is they sell some membership for 1.2 lakhs or something and once they get any money from the innocent, they start to ignore that person totally.

Kindly go through the link :

http://www.consumercourtforum.in/f29/country-vacations-fraud-21473/
You can notice that there isn’t a single reply from Country Club/Vacations, they don’t even defend themselves! So overall this seems to be a white collar scam and someone is becoming filthy rich by looting money on all such bogus things.

There are numerous TV Channels, newspapers etc in our country and I don’t think this ‘could be’ Scam has been reported anywhere.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India and was one of the most prominent faces of India’s freedom struggle. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru had a long stint as the Prime Minister serving about 17 years from August 15, 1947 until his death in 1964.

Jawaharlal Nehru was a recipient of India’s highest civilian award – ‘Bharat Ratna’ which was given to him in 1955. Pt. Nehru’s birthday on November 14th has been celebrated as ‘Children’s Day’ as it’s a popular belief that he had a great fondness to children. He is popularly referred to as ‘Chacha Nehru’.

Nehru’s tenure saw three Lok Sabha Elections in 1951, 1957 and 1962 during which his party Indian National Congress always enjoyed a comfortable majority owing to its achievement in getting freedom for the country. Jawaharlal Nehru is considered as the ‘Architect of Modern India’ for bringing up several institutions of National interest. Nehru’s early tenure was hands full of work with the Indian nation formation from various small princely states, a task that was successfully undertaken by an able Home Minister in Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

The nation saw communal violence at its peak during the partition around 1947. The young nation then had to then face hostility from Pakistan over the accession of Jammu and Kashmir by India. A full fledged war broke out in 1947. Although the war was heading in favour of India, it was India which suffered the most as it lost 1/3rd of Kashmir. It is said that Nehru made a Himalayan blunder by taking the J&K issue to the United Nations at a time when the Indian Army had almost wiped out the Pakistani infiltration. Even today India is forced to keep silent about what is called as the ‘Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’ (POK). The only good thing for India is that the POK is not all that fertile a land as the Indian Kashmir is.

Nehru later had suffered another blow when his diplomatic overtures towards China failed miserably. In 1954, Nehru signed an agreement with China which is popularly known as Panchsheel (Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence). Nehru took any threat emancipating from China lightly and promoted a slogan “Hindi-Chini bhai bhai” (Indians and Chinese are brothers); this unfortunately never got the Army in shape for a defence. China gave a real shock to the laidback India by attacking it in 1962. China achieved what it wanted through the war and India finally began to develop its defence capabilities in a more professional manner.

In the early hours of 27th May, 1964, India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had died in New Delhi following a heart attack. He was survived by his lone daughter Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi. Nehru was 74 at the time of his death. He was cremated on the banks of River Yamuna and his burial site located north of Shakti Sthal and Rajghat is known as ‘Shanti Van’.

The late Nehru was succeeded by Gulzarilal Nanda who took over as the interim Prime Minister for 13 days before eventually giving way to Lal Bahadur Shastri. Nehru’s legacy was imprinted on India for a long time even after his death. His only daughter Indira Gandhi quickly rose in her ranks to become the Prime Minister following Lal Bahadur Shastri’s mysterious death in Tashkent. In the 1980s, Indira Gandhi’s son and Nehru’s grandson – Rajiv Gandhi went onto become the Prime Minister of India. Even in the present day, the Nehru-Gandhi family continues to dominate Indian Politics through the mother-son duo of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi respectively. Rahul Gandhi is the great grandson of Nehru and has been seen as a sure Prime Minister for the future.

Below are some basic details about Jawaharlal Nehru:

The other day in a public forum in a topic related to BJP bashing, I wrote – BJP is saying that they will build both a Mandir (Temple) and a Masjid (Mosque) at Ayodhya. Now why should anybody have a problem with that? This should cool down the animosities between both the Hindu and the Muslim Communities forever. I know the matter is in the hands of the Supreme Court but it makes sense for the top personnel of both the communities to sit down at one place and negotiate everything peacefully.

Well those who read what I wrote were stunned; they screamed that we will have to be reborn to see if the BJP leaders will ever make such statements. I felt a bit foolish about myself, was that my illusion that I watched a senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh saying – Mandir banega aur saath mein masjid bhi (Temple will be built and so will be a Mosque)? For most of the people feeding knowingly or unknowingly on the biased English News Channel take it for granted that the BJP is a party of religious bigots, given a chance they are happy to call them as terrorists, Taliban or whatever.

I was determined to search for the Mandir and the Masjid statement and with great difficulty I could prove that I was right. And that the BJP is truly secular (or should we say ‘not communal’ as it’s only the Congress that has the exclusive rights for the tag called ‘secular’) and not what it is perceived to be by a large section of the public if you go by their statements. Here I quote the BJP President Rajnath Singh – “You may go anywhere in the world, Ram was born here. Let Ram Mandir be built in Ayodhya, after that we will work towards building a mosque (Babri Masjid) wherever you wish. We will get it done.” What can be driven from this is that the BJP has made a promise to build Ram Mandir and also the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.

One more statement regarding the same is from Venkaiah Naidu, here I quote him – “The party (Congress) which had opened the locks of Ayodhya is now adopting double standards on the issue. A debate on whether there existed a Ram temple or not is frivolous as the entire world knows that the birthplace of Lord Ram is Ayodhya. We want that a Ram temple be constructed at the disputed site and a mosque by its side.”

The greatness of our media is that they will never bother to play the recent Rajnath Singh sound byte (the one that says Mandir bhi banega aur masjid bhi) repeatedly which would have only boosted communal harmony in our great country. But look at the way the same media showed the Mangalore Pub Attack (clearly an orchestrated one) and even the alleged hate speech of Varun Gandhi. The Pub attack could have lasted just a minute but it was shown in a loop as if the entire drama lasted for many hours. Don’t you think that the Media just goes overboard and directly or indirectly adds more venom than what is required?

Hindus have just one big country in India in the entire world, but the fact is that they have to suppress their feelings even here, stay under the lid, fold their hands and say that they are secular. Remember how they got humiliated with regards to the Amarnath land? Remember how the Kashmiri Pandits have been driven out? I have a strong thinking that Hindus by default are Secular; they never proselytize their religion unlike Christianity or Islam. For centuries together they have been tolerant to other religions and will remain so whether they like it or not as there is no choice.

The tag for BJP is ‘Equality for All, Appeasement for None’. If this is communal then we have got to change the meanings of all words in the dictionary. One thing looks certain that some people want ‘Problems’ to exist, so that they can drive maximum advantage of that, they will never bother about working towards the Solutions. The problem here is the Mandir-Masjid controversy which the Congress would love to see exist for a long period so that they can keep on demonizing the BJP on the same. I think it will be brilliant if we can have the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and along with it the Masjid to show what real Secularism means.

Well after all the pre-tournament hype surrounding the Black and Gold team, the results that we are seeing right now are a total disappointment. The Kolkata Knight Riders team owned by Bollywood Baadshah Shahrukh Khan is sucking big time in this second edition of the Indian Premier League. All the super strategies of the hyped Australian Coach John Buchanan and his brigade have gone for a toss. For a team to win a Cricket Match, the most important factor is to do the Basics Right! It doesn’t matter if the team is Australia, India or Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, all that matters is sticking to your basics individually and as a collective unit right in the middle as it comes.

And talking about the basics, the Kolkata Knight Riders have picked up some strange players for a Twenty20 tournament. How on earth did they imagine a defensive player like Aakash Chopra can deliver the goods in a fast-paced version of the game? Then they have Sanjay Bangar, an honest all-rounder but with limited talent. Bangar has mostly played some of the most boring knocks in his career, although he can hit the ball big when he wants to as shown in a tight chase against West Indies a few years back. The probability of that happening is 1 in every 30 innings perhaps?

The Knight Riders depend only on three blokes to deliver the goods all the time – Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum and Sourav Ganguly. The rest of the batsmen just seem to be filling up the numbers. Gayle and McCullum can be heroes on one day and plain zeroes on the other while Sourav is more of an emotional guy, who thinks he can, but simply doesn’t possess what it takes to face red hot pace and bounce. So to rely on Sourav to win matches is just too much to ask out of a veteran who has left the game at the top level.

The Knight Riders have a foreign star in Brad Hodge who has struggled to keep a place in the Aussie team of late. Hodge hasn’t looked good at all this season to provide any inspiration for his team. The KKR team management would hope David Hussey to return back to the fold quickly and provide the stability and at the same time some firepower in the batting. David Hussey can also bowl some good off breaks. All in all Kolkata Knight Riders is looking very very weak on the paper for me!

The bowling department looks a bit better with the ever reliable Ishant Sharma, and then you have Ajantha Mendis who should torment the non-international players of any team with ease. I hope Ishant gets proper rest as well and is not made to play all the 14 matches for the good of Indian Cricket. Well for me, Murali Kartik has to be played in every match in my honest opinion as the wickets in South Africa this time have been very dry. I am sure Murali Kartik with all his experience of Indian and English domestic circuit can do what a Pragyan Ojha has been doing for the Deccan Chargers.

Well whatever combinations that the Knight Riders try to bring in, they just look a weak team to begin with! Their resources just look very bleak. Their problems will grow further when Chris Gayle leaves them for the England Tour. May be there is something more than winning matches for teams in the IPL. Perhaps it’s about building huge fan bases, selling merchandises and of course bagging big sponsors. In that sense, KKR might be doing pretty well, but then they are not really making their fans happy.

Some of the strange things have come out from the Knight Riders Camp. Prior to the tournament was the huge hype about selecting the squad. And what have they come up with? Absolutely nothing! Atleast a Shane Warne has brought up a Kamran Khan who can be nurtured into a useful cricketer for India in the near future. Here I have a serious complaint about KKR, why the heck are they wasting India’s future star – Cheteshwar Pujara? Whether this guy performs or not he should be in the line-up and given maximum exposure as it will be really worthy in shaping up this certain batsman of the Indian team for the next few years. Seriously folks, Pujara is a great talent who should not be wasting his time sitting on the bench doing nothing!

Coming back to Buchanan, he was the one bringing up the stupid idea of having four captains in the squad! I think a Coach is as good as the team he has got. It is always easy to be the Coach of a team that has bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne but never the same when the team is filled up with players of limited skills. The team owner Shahrukh Khan sounds as if he has played 100 Tests and 200 ODIs atleast by his big talk of supporting the 4-Captain theory. Shahrukh was talking about some clever signaling between the players on the park like it happens in baseball. Well all I can say is a Cricket Match is no Commando operation, it’s all about batting, bowling and fielding well according to what the situation demands.

I guess the FakeIPL Player is the only one who is having all the fun and not the Kolkata Knight Riders management as far as this tournament goes.

Well just happened to watch NTR Jr.’s public speech in one of the news channels and I am simply stunned at the clarity in his voice and the way he is trying to convince about the TDP Policies! Boy, he is just what, 25 years of age and there he is out among thousands of people talking absolutely crystal clear with full of confidence!

NTR was talking about the price rise of the neccessary commodities in the Congress rule and the difficulties faced by the families in coping up with them. He is not only pointing out the problem to the people but also trying to educate them about the solutions drawn by the TDP’s schemes of monthly 1000-2000 Rs cash sops to the poor, lower middle class families.

The strength of NTR Jr. seems to be his total control of the language, he is able to get tremendous response from the people, its no filmy dialogues at all for this young man. He sounds very straightforward and looks like a person who has done a lot of home work on the problems and solutions of the people. Good going for sure for this young fellow. Well it wouldn’t be exaggerating if we say that this NTR has outperformed Chiranjeevi quite easily with his public performance.

Chiranjeevi although being a much more experienced actor than NTR Jr. has for some reason has failed to talk his mind clearly to the audience. He started off in a rather too soft and pale fashion trying to convince that he knows all the difficulties faced by the poor people which qualifies him as a Political leader. When his soft natured speeches didn’t work well, Chiru had to take a leaf out of his younger brother Pawan Kalyan’s book and only now is the PRP President able to pack some punches in his speeches.

Well before I wrap up this small post, I would like to commend the courage of the 25-year-old NTR Jr. to lash out at Chiranjeevi in his speeches despite the latter being a very big hero in the Telugu Film industry for several years! I guess TDP will have to keep NTR Jr. in good spirits as he looks to be a potential trump card for them.

It seems Karnataka is the most happening state in India from what we have seen in the last few months. If you have to take a look at most of the National Newspapers or Channels, then one can find that there is a clear obsession with whatever happens in Karnataka.

The other day I saw a news video in a leading English Channel which had a girl telling about the way she was slapped by some hooligans in Bangalore. The caption that followed this story was something like this – ‘Bangalore Not Safe For Women?’. There were few more such incidents that were reported from Karnataka with a lot of passion from the National Channels/News Portals. Definitely all these incidents if they really happened need to be condemned but what I feel is that they shouldn’t be blown out of proportion for the simple fact that there are more attrocious incidents that keep on repeating through the length and breadth of the country. To just pick on one state just because there is a BJP Government in rule looks fishy.

What surprises me is that when I sneak into a Bangalore Group in Orkut that has about 80k members, none of these incidents seemed to be talked about. The mood over there doesn’t seem to be that anti-govermnent while there is a lot of hue and cry for even a ‘pin fall incident’ reported from Karnataka in e-groups such as the ‘Pink Chaddi Group’ in Facebook which feed on seemingly biassed reports from say NDTV and Times of India. For me it looks as if some vested parties in the Centre and the Media are perhaps trying to make a fuss of everything that is happening in Karnataka.

In my own state Andhra Pradesh, there have been several incidents of acid attacks on college going girls. Unfortunately I don’t think I have seen Renuka Chowdhury, the Hon. Minister for Women and Child Welfare coming out on National TV to take a note of these serious issues happening in her own state which is under the Congress rule. Any intelligent person can clearly understand the double standards! So what I want to say is that there seems to be a section of biased media that is trying to magnify trivial things just for the sake of maligning the BJP and the rest of the Sangh Parivar and of course you have the Congress leaders trying to encash on every opportunity that comes their way. After all they need to as the millions of citizens will never forgive the UPA Government for the 60-odd bomb blasts and the Mumbai mayhem.

Here are a few points that clearly show double standards from a section of the Media and others:

Although the BJP has nothing to do with the Shri Ram Sene and Pramod Muthalik, a lot of people cleverly try to say that the Ram Sene is part of the Sangh Parivar and getting protected by the BJP. Instead of condeming the Ram Sene directly, they try to mud sling the BJP and most importantly the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) which was wrongly dragged into the Mangalore Pub attacks.

Take the instance of the abduction case of the daughter of a Kerala CPI MLA CH Kunhambu. The Media reported that she was kidnapped by Hindutva activists because she was traveling with a Muslim friend. A lot of noise came from all the quarters to say that Mangalore was getting Talibanized. It was later proved that the MLA’s own supporters belonging to the CPI’s student wing DYFI had done the abduction just to save the girl’s modesty. Even after the truth is out, this incident is still used in a lot of media articles as an example of ‘moral policing’ by Saffron Brigade carried out under full support of the BJP State Government!

The other case is that of the suicide of a minor girl called ‘Ashwini’ in South Karnataka. Despite the fact that the Police had arrested a person by the name Saleem, a 28-year-old on the grounds of sexually exploiting the girl, the blame just continues to be put on ‘Moral Policing’ by some Hindu activists and indirectly accusing that it is all because of the BJP Government being communal.

More than 100 people were arrested by the Bangalore Police recently in a liquor party that went till 4 AM in the morning. That party was illegal according to the Law of the Land and the Police on a tip off had arrested them. Now this incident is being projected as the Karnataka Government’s ‘Moral Policing’ by a section of the media.

Dr. VS Acharya, the Home Minister of Karnataka has asked for public opinion in his blog on whether the Police had done the right thing or not in arresting people who had participated in that illegal booze party. The post received more than 70 comments, quite a lot of them supporting the Police action and showing no sympathy to the boozers. Interestingly Times of India which has been branded as nothing but a ‘Page 3′ newspaper by its critics ran an article about that same VS Acharya Blog post in which it mentions only comments that were criticizing the Police just to create an image that the BJP Government is not functioning well.

We will have to wait and see how things develop in the coming days, there is just so much of action happening around. From the Mangalore Pub attacks to the latest Charlie Chaplin Statue Controversy, the state of Karnataka is being watched closely by the Witch hunters! Can the State Government over there come out clean? There is certainly a Witch Hunt in progress on the B.S. Yedyurappa Government and of course on the State Home Minister Dr. V.S. Acharya. I would say that the Karnataka Government needs to be strong like Narendra Modi in Gujarat and just ignore the mud slinging and just continue with its duties. Let’s see all that, but all of us know that with the elections coming up next month, there will be plenty of drama to be expected to put the BJP in a tight spot!

Wow, feeling at the top of the world as I have got SMSes from Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh – Nara Chandrababu Naidu and also the current Chief Minister – Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy!! I never knew both of them had so much of love on me! Anywayz let me share the SMS with all you folks right here right now:

SMS from Chandrababu Naidu – Let us together restore Telugu Pride and Re-build our state. I seek your valuable suggestions in this task. – Nara Chandrababu Naidu SMS 9618096186 Sender: TM-CBN

SMS from Dr. Y.S.Rajasekara Reddy – You have urge to study Medicine, Engineering, MBA, MCA etc…but no money? Don’t worry, continue your studies. With your support we will continue to reimburse your fees.. – Mee YSR Sender: TM-YSR

Wow, what do you people make up of both these messages, I mean the content of them not about me receiving them…Well these SMSes are hitting the Cell Phones of millions in Andhra Pradesh which will see Assembly Elections along with Lok Sabha Polls next month.

Here is my take on it, if you remove the sender’s name and analyse, then the first message look fair enough, no issues there. The second message has a definite tinge of greediness, luring the reciepent of something in return of a favour isn’t it? Aah if the second message is tailor made for the educated youth then what could be the message be for the uneducated backward people – will it be Don’t have money to drink? Don’t worry we will give you the bottles, just vote for us. Well that’s my opinion, would like to hear yours.

Before I click on the Publish button, would like to share the below SMS from the Telugu Desam Party Camp.

A poor man catches fish, the wife cannot cook due to lack of gas, cooking oil, current. The man puts the fish back into the river. Fish comes up and shouts ‘YSR Zindabad’.

The reception of the Chiranjeevi led Praja Rajyam Party appears to be a mixed bag. No doubt every road show of Chiranjeevi has brought in the crowds, but it looks as if people are only interested to see the face of a big hero in real which otherwise is a rarity. For the people, it is a free show to see their Megastar delivering his dialogues and the crowd having no need of buying any cinema tickets to watch the tamasha.

It is the youth (a section of it I must say) which has a lot of craze about Chiranjeevi, but most of them do not vote much to the worry of the PRP. The educated people look at Chiru’s credibility as a politician and there is enough proof that he hasn’t impressed many. The problem with the Praja Rajyam Party is that they have an unproven leader in Chiranjeevi while the rest of the party cadre is formed by discards of Congress and TDP. The critics of the PRP say that all the losers end up in this newly formed party. Some of the PRP leaders like Shobha Rani, Posani Krishna Murali, Hari Rama Jogaiah etc have poor image among the people.

Chiranjeevi’s slogan is ‘For Change’ in the lines of the US President Barrack Obama. But where is the Change when his party consists of a group of old discarded leaders of other parties? It is nothing but old wine in a new bottle isn’t it? There is absolutely no freshness whatsoever. Besides that Political experts are ridiculing PRP for not having any clear agenda. All we have heard is filmy dialogues like ‘Ganji ninchi Benzi’ from the man. Chiru has come out like a very soft man, not able to deliver any punches in his speech and not showing the aggression to take on his opponents Y.S.Rajasekara Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu! Will people vote for him keeping in mind the ‘Tagore’ movie or will they analyze his abilities as a Politician (which should always be the case) and base their judgment on that?

One big problem for ‘Annaiya’ Chiranjeevi is that there are several reports of his fans getting frustrated because they allege that they are not getting importance in the party affairs. It looks like they have been used for doing all the smaller work I suppose like flocking the public meetings, rallying behind Chiru as a show of strength, pasting posters etc but when it comes to getting party tickets, it is a different story altogether. There is a lot of talk that the PRP has been making business in selling MLA/MP tickets at enormous rates. Chiru’s brother-in-law Allu Aravind is the one who steers the party while the PRP is solely banking on the former film star’s image. There is just no charisma in the other leaders of the party. The biggest challenge for the PRP is to keep its flock together and really build good and clean images for its candidates. The only person to have brought in some life seems to be Pawan Kalyan for his aggressive take on the PRP’s opponents but everybody knows that he crossed the lines of decency.

As a common man I would like to test Chiranjeevi in the opposition. I would like to see his sincerity, whether he will have the same zeal to sit in the opposition, put pressure on the government like Chandrababu Naidu and other proven politicians or does he just want to become the Chief Minister straightaway. Is Chiru a person looking for a short cut entry to power rather than working his way up the ladder? Has he got it in him to wait for another 5 years to get the power? We will have to see all that, for now the odds seems to be against Chiru, he couldn’t even get a common symbol for his PRP till now!

India showed its all round capabilities in the 1st ODI at the McLean Park in Napier to crush the Kiwis by 53 runs. The margin of defeat that they inflicted looks a bit on the lower side as the match was truncated due to rain interruptions. It was no doubt a trouncing for the Black Caps from the mighty Indians.

MS Dhoni top scored for India with an unbeaten 84 (from 89 balls with 6 fours), an innings that was more of a sheet anchor’s role. The Indian Skipper supported the free stroking Virender Sehwag (77 from 56 balls with 11 fours and a six) and Suresh Raina (66 from 39 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes) who were at their destructive best. The Indians closed their innings at 273 for 4 in the allotted 38 overs. There was a rain break in the 5th over of the innings which resulted in the reduction of the overs. The New Zealand bowling was hopeless to say the least, they were some terrible full tosses dished out by the fast bowlers. Skipper Daniel Vettori was given some special treatment by the young Suresh Raina.

The Kiwis were stifled by some beautiful swing bowling from Praveen Kumar who went onto remove the dangerous Brendon McCullum and Jesse Ryder early. The New Zealand innings went absolutely nowhere although there was a sort of a fightback from Martin Guptill and Ross Taylor. However with the required run rate always mounting up, it was just too tough a task for the batting side. There was another rain break in the match, luckily for India they had bowled out more than 20 overs by then and NZ was way behind the D/L target.

When play resumed again, New Zealand’s target just blew up to a much more difficult one at 216 from 28 overs! They resumed play at 111 for 4 in the 21st over. The Kiwis could only end up with 162 for 9 at the end of the 28th over. As many as four wickets fell in the space of five balls during the passage after the rain break. Harbhajan Singh who was brought into the attack very late picked up three wickets in his four overs with his clever doosras. The top scorer for the Kiwis was Martin Guptill who made 64 from 70 balls. The Man of the Match was given to the Indian Captain.

Our Future Prime Minister Shri Rahul Gandhi has been busy touring Gujarat ahead of the Elections. The ‘Youth’ leader was interacting with some youth of Ahmedabad and in the course made some statements which indeed proves his General Knowledge (or should we say the lack of it??).

Well Rahul Gandhi first says that the state of Gujarat is bigger than United Kingdom for which he gets a big round of applause from his admirers. But the matter of fact is that Gujarat is 196,077 sq. km while United Kingdom is 244,820 sq. km which is lesser than that of Gujarat right? The new logic is if a= 10 and if b = 15, then a>b right?

Or if you think our beloved leader is talking in terms of population, then let’s have a look at the facts again. The population of Gujarat is 50,596,992 while that of United Kingdom is 60,943,912.

If we can accept that the statement – Gujarat is bigger than United Kingdom as just a slip then look at this. Rahul Gandhi says that “India is bigger than the United States and Europe put together”. Now does anyone need numbers to prove that this statement is wrong, well no as it is simple common sense after all that India is tiny in comparison to the United States and Europe put together both in terms of the land and population.

My guess is that Rahul Gandhi might have gone through a Text Book which showed a huge map of India in one page and the World Map in the other page and of course if you compare both the pages, you would understand that India is bigger than USA and Europe! Great!

Hey if you people think that I am cooking some nonsense here, then well please have a look below at this video:
