Avoid buying Web Services from Space2let/Internetworldwide

I have been trying to write about this since a long time and finally I am able to do something here. Well Space2let.com is a webhosting company based in Bangalore which has been in the business for sometime. I have been a customer of it for a couple of years before I dropped out following their unprofessional and even unethical approach. My intention by writing this post is to serve a caution to any newbie who might fall in the trap of this bad hosting company.

I used to have a few problems with this Space2let may be once in a month my site used to go downtime and my FTP wasn’t going to let me connect for a day or two every month. Once it so happened that my FTP wasn’t getting connected at all and this stretched for quite a few days and even today it is like that. In between I had decided to say ‘F*** you’ to this company and on the advice of my friend shifted to another webhost to prevent any further damage to my website’s image. This was not before a lot of telephonic calls and emails to this bogus company – Space2let.

Let me here run through my experiences with this webhost. I bought their services through their local affiliate (or franchise) who was only good enough to be a money collector. The local affiliate guy wasn’t good enough to receive any of my complaints anytime and all he would tell me is to send a mail to Space2let. Right when my FTP was down for many times, I would keep making those STD calls to Bangalore and any customer care person over there in Space2let would pause a lot during the call asking me to wait! On most occasions I would say ‘hello’ in between to understand if they were still on line or had hung up the phone. Such was the amount of time those dumb people would waste on an STD call and they never come up with a solution! All they say is we will sort it out, we will send a mail and sometimes you don’t even understand their English!

I eventually gave up and searched the net to see if there were similar disgruntled customers of Space2let like me. And to my surprise, I found out cases of customers who had more horrific experiences than me especially where their domains would get locked up by these people and paid services left undelivered right from Day 1! Fortunately I had my domain somewhere else, so it didn’t cause any trouble for me to shift to a new host. I think Space2let was/is boasting itself to be among the Top 3 webhosts in India if I am not mistaken. After a few days, the local franchise person pinged me to tell me that my hosting renewal was due and when he could collect the money. I told him that I had long taken my site off this host and told what a bogus company it was. He in return was telling me that’s not true, Space2let has some incredible servers, they host airtel, they host the Karnataka Police etc etc. Hmmm…these suckers can do whatever they like to small people like me but can they ever dare to anything wrong to a big and strong institution? Well no way! The only way I can teach them a lesson is by writing this post which should join numerous other ones already put on the net to caution any potential buyers from Space2let.com or Internetworldwide.org!
