Indian Services

India’s largest telecommunication company BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has launched its 3G (third generation) mobile services in the market. Yesterday, these services were launched in Ambala, Agara, Dehradun, Jammu, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Lucknow, Shimla, Patna, Ranchi, Haldia and Durgapur. BSNL had already launched this service in Delhi and Chennai.

The 3G mobile services provide these unique features:

  1. The user gets an all time new broadband like speeds on his mobile with the 3G services. The mobile user can expect speeds upto 2MBPS. These faster speeds enable the user to download mp3s and also watch streaming videos comfortably. At times even bigger movie files can be downloaded and enjoyed on the mobile but of course it depends on the storage memory of the handset.
  2. A user of the 3G services can enjoy Video Calling. Now callers can get to watch the faces of other 3G mobile callers on their handsets. The 3G mobile frontal cam captures the live images and transfer them across via the network to the other 3G caller.
  3. 3G Mobile Services offer superior network capacity to the users.

BSNL has tied up with popular mobile handset providers like Nokia, Samsung and Sony to bring out compatible cell phones for their 3G services. The lowest price of a compatible 3G phone with BSNL connection is expected to be Rs.7,000.
