It was the budget session of the Assembly that was just about to get underway with the Governor’s speech but what happened was utterly shameful with the opposition MLAs creating an extremely hostile atmosphere. The opposition MLAs which included the Samajwadi Party, Congress-I and the Rashtriya Lok Dal who were protesting the murder of a PWD engineer Manoj Kumar Gupta in Aurraiya by the ruling party personnel. The BJP MLA’s were the only ones to miss out as they had already boycotted the Assembly.

Utttar Pradesh is getting very hot and dirty with the political wars with hardly any party coming out clean. The Chief Minister Kumari Mayawati has been publicly asking the people to give her money for her party even from the utmost poor ones of the state as funds. Her party workers are accused of murdering a Government Engineer Aurraiya who was murdered for not yielding to give money. The opposition chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav of Samajwadi party himself is involved in a CBI case pertaining to the disproportionate assets possessed by him. While the Opposition MLAs were protesting against the prevailing Law and Order in the state, they themselves forgot that they were acting like rowdies in the Assembly.
