Congress to sing AR Rahman’s ‘Jai Ho’ in Election Campaigns

The Congress-I under the able leadership of Madam Sonia Gandhi has purchased the rights of the Oscar-award winning song ‘Jai Ho’. This song from AR Rahman will be played during the party rallies all over India to symbolise the achievements of the Congress-led UPA Government in the last five years.

Some of the Congress leaders believe that only their party can take the credit of using this song, an opinion that has not been contested even by their opponents BJP who also think the same. The BJP and millions of people are of the opinion that the Oscar-award film Slumdog Millionaire wouldn’t have happened but for the 55 years of rule by the Congress party in India. It was only because of the Congress that the slums in India have grown in enormous numbers instead of disappearing with time. Dharavi in Mumbai which was used as the background for Slumdog Millionaire is Asia’s largest slum with an estimated population of over 10 lakhs!

It looks as if the Congress party is extremely proud of Dharavi and the song ‘Jai Ho’ will remind the citizens of India about this very achievement.
