Don’t malign Saffron and Hinduism for everything…

India

It is a well known fact that the infamous Mangalore Pub attacks were carried out by the activists of Shri Ram Sene (SRS). The Bharatiya Janata Party has condemned that and has stated that nobody can take the law in their hands like how those SRS activists had taken. The RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) had declared that it had nothing to do with the Shri Ram Sene and it would not bother at all if that organization is banned. So I would like to ask a few people, why hate the BJP? Why hate the RSS? Why hate the VHP? Can’t you think about the good things done by them rather than having only the TV Visual loops of the Mangalore attack shown for hours together in your mind and still associating them with any Saffron Organization?

It is very easy to malign Hinduism in this country although there is a strong majority of the populace practicing it. If any person spotting a tilak, wearing a saffron band on his forehead does something unlawful, immediately there are people who are ready to jump the gun on the BJP, RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and others. It is not a big deal to buy a few dressed up persons to do unlawful things under the saffron disguise and make them act the way the Ram Sene activists did for example. Who knows the activists beating the boys and girls could well be ‘professional chargesheeters’ who care a damn about getting arrested in exchange of money. The Media picks up on any stray incident that happens in the BJP-ruled states and is ready to blow things out of proportion. They try their best to make-believe that Hindu activists are extremists and they have support from the BJP.

I have kind of noticed that people from the minorities are very quick to seize the moment and put the blame on the BJP, VHP, RSS without getting their facts right. Make no mistake, Hindus are the most tolerant amongst all religions for many centuries. We have lived peacefully and will continue to do so with people of other religions, of course every now and then there will be incidents triggered off to test the communal harmony of the country. There will be several attempts to belittle Hinduism but all those can only go in vain. The prime example is that of Hinduism surviving through the testing centuries of being under Mughal Rule!

Yes, Hindus are a majority in India, but don’t forget that we were suppressed for hundreds of years under the Mughals, show us the same sympathy that you show to other religions. Now the Hindu religion faces constant challenges from a few Islamic fundamentalists whose prime agenda is that of making India an Islamic Republic and some Christian Missionaries that keep on converting Hindus into their faith. While we would not deeply bother about the conversions simply because we believe that the converted individuals are probably not strong in their religious beliefs, the main problem is with those fundamentalists who are keen on making our country an Islamic state!

Hindus do need organizations like the VHP, RSS and other principally strong ones to protect the religion from the constant threats! Every religion has some backing up coming from big organizations, so why not the Hindus? Please have a look at their websites (of VHP, RSS) and try to understand their motives. Don’t look at them like Rogue outfits. I read somewhere, one person saying to another that had it not been for these Hindu outfits, we would have been talking to each other as Gafoor and Ibrahim! Agreed some members of the Hindu outfits might go overboard but that doesn’t mean that the RSS or the VHP which have lakhs of workers all over the country are divisive and disruptive forces in the country!

There is no point in bashing Hindus, BJP, VHP, RSS or anyone for every petty thing that happens under the disguise of saffron in the country. I do want to appeal to the ‘Pink Chaddi’ Campaigners to fight for the rights of every woman in the country who is suffering from the ‘moral police’ whether it is the Shri Ram Sene in the Karnataka or the much aggressive Muslim fundamentalists in Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and any other state of India. And I really appreciate the PinkCondom Campaigners for standing up for Hindus and notifying people how wrongly the RSS was being dragged in the anti-Muthalik Campaign. Guys and Gals of the PinkCondom group, you may not be having the Media backing nor does our religion (along with BJP, Sangh Parivar etc) but please be determined to stand united against the Pseudo Secular forces!
