BJP’s Senior Leader L.K.Advani is aggressively pushing himself to get elected as the next Prime Minister of India. A lot of websites are displaying advertisements which promote LK Advani’s official website through Google Adsense and other ad networks. Advani through these ads is asking the people to vote for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to overcome terror effectively. Some of the advertisements are also asking the net users to chat with Advani himself.
Well Advani is 81 years old (Television was not even born at the time of Advani’s birth!) but he definitely knows the effectiveness of the internet. Lal Krishna Advani is looking to make an impression in the minds of the netizens of India. More than 35 million people use the internet in India, so there is a lot of audience available for the political parties to spread their message across. One can find that many Indians and also the NRIs are actively posting their comments and opinions in several media websites.
I happened to browse through the official website of L.K.Advani and could find a wealth of indepth articles written by the man himself and also some rare pictures. I am a very curious person wanting to see what Advani was or what Vajpayee or any other leader was during their younger days. Well the Advani website provides us a lot of answers through the articles and photos. And yeah, the website is offering content in both English and Hindi! So I guess it is pretty worth to visit the official website of Advani to find out about his background, his plans on how to govern India and a lot of other stories including the infamous Emergency declared during the Indira Gandhi’s Government.
I am waiting to see whether the Congress-I is going to come up with some novel plans about promoting themselves ahead of the elections. To be frank, I am not sure who their Prime Ministerial Candidate is for 2009. May be Manmohan Singh again, but a lot of people are looking at him as a decent, educated but a soft man who is not able to defend the country strongly against terror. Another name is Rahul Gandhi who might be still inexperienced but his father Rajiv Gandhi was a Prime Minister and so was his Grand Mother Indiraji and so was his great grand father Nehruji….so it’s all in his genes, isn’t it? Hang on…I am just trying to be neutral here, but I mean to say that those are the only qualifications of Rahul Gandhi that I see. Honestly speaking if the UPA regains power next time around, then I hope to see P.Chidambaram as the Prime Minister.
