ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2009 – Australia Women crush Pakistan Women at Sydney

Australia Women defeated Pakistan Women by a huge margin of 107 runs in the Super Six Match at the Bankstown Oval in Sydney. Batting first the Aussie Women put up 229 for 6 in 50 overs with Shelley Nitschke and Lauren Ebsary scoring 56 and 51 respectively. Pakistan in their chase were bowled out for just 122 in 45.1 overs. The top scorer of their innings was Asmavia Iqbal who made a sedate 70-ball 36. Shelley Nitschke who scored a fifty came good with the ball taking 1 for 29 in 10 overs to get the Player of the Match.
