ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2009 – England Women beat New Zealand Women at Sydney

England Women won their Super Six Match against New Zealand by 31 runs at the Bankstown Oval in Sydney. Batting first, England Women scored 201 for 5 with Skipper Charlotte Edwards top scoring with 57 from 79 balls. Charlotte Edwards later picked up four wickets with her leg break that was instrumental in New Zealand getting bowled out for 170 in their chase. She was the Player of the Match for her all-round efforts. Like the English Skipper, Haidee Tiffen, the New Zealand Skipper too top scored with 53.
