ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2009 – West Indies Women win 5th Place Pay-Off Match against Pakistan Women

West Indies Women won the 5th Place Place-Off Match against Pakistan Women at Drummoyne Oval in Sydney by 3 wickets and with 21 balls to spare. Batting first, the Pakistani Women were bundled out for 131 in 46.3 overs. Opener Bismah Maroof top scorer with 33.  Shanel Daley was the most succesful bowler for West Indies taking 4 for 29 in her 10 overs. She got the Player of the Match award.

The West Indies Women had to work hard for their victory which only came in the 47th over at the loss of 7 wikcets. Pamela Lavine and Charlene Taitt were the joint top scorers with 26 to their name. Leg Spinner Sana Mir had a wonderful time with the ball as she finished with superb figures of 10-3-12-2.
