Pak-SL 2nd Test Cancelled after Terror Strikes

The Sri Lankan Team was in the middle of an ambush set by terrorists on their way to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Fortunately the members of the Sri Lankan party were able to duck down and hide below the seats in their team bus to save themselves from serious injuries. The terrorists fled away after sometime for reasons better known to them. The injured Sri Lankan players received the necessary treatment and were air lifted to a safe and secure location. They were later flown back to Colombo via Dubai.

The Second and final Test Match was cancelled for obvious reasons. It was a dud Test series with pitches at both the venues producing dead and placid tracks. None of the teams could force a victory especially Sri Lanka which had two destructive spinners in Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis. Many cricket fans all over the world feel that they would not be seeing any international cricket in Pakistan for some years!
