Dr. Manmohan Singh is the 14th and the incumbent Prime Minister of India. He is a former Governor of Reserve Bank of India and was the Finance Minister durng the PV Narasimha Rao Government in the early 90s. Manmohan has the credit of being the first Sikh to become the Prime Minister of India although a person of the same religion.  India had already seen a Sikh holding the highest position when Giani Zail Singh became its President in 1982.
