The Prime Minister of India is the most powerful person in the country in practice although it is the President in theory. It is the Prime Minister who calls the shots in India. The Prime Minister or in short the P.M heads the Council of Ministers to exercise the authority of the Government of India. The P.M. is appointed by the President after it is proved that he/she is the leader of the majority party in the Parliament.
