World Badminton Tournament in Hyderabad Affected by Swine Flu Fear

The Malaysian Badminton team Coach Misbun Sidek who came to Hyderabad along with his team for participating in the World Badminton Championships got affected with Swine flu. He complained with throat pain and other symptoms suspecting of Swine flu. His blood samples were collected and sent for confirmation of H1N1 virus.

This news was announced by the Director of the organizing committee and the Indian team coach Pullela Gopichand who stated that all precautions are being taken to prevent the spread of the disease. It is seen that some police men are wearing masks at the venue of the play. 250 players from 42 countries are participating in the event that started on Monday. The championship is the first of the series in the sports events that India is hosting before the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
